Laser Power Meter
This laser power meter/checker was purchased from www.die4laser.com at a very good price.

This is a home made unit, its is very small and comes ready to use, just add 5v.

Measures from 405nm to 808nm
Measures from 0.1mw to 3watts

The meters runs off 5v so can be powered by mains or 3x AA batteries. To power this meter I used an existing 240v mains adaptor with built-in converter, that out puts 5v and 200ma's

Now this power meter uses a thermal sensor so there is no need to set the wavelength. When you first turn on the power meter it will look like this -

Press the "laser pwr" button and it takes you onto this screen -

Now aim your laser at the sensor head and it will give you the reading and bingo -
