The parts needed to make a blu-ray pointer -
1x leadlight laser
First you need to pop the end off of the leadlight case, this can be done with a screw driver, its not hard. Then you need to extract the existing diode and driver from the leadlight laser. You need the driver board and plastic holder in tact, as this part is needed to make the blu-ray pointer. But the existing diode is not needed. When pressing the diode and driver out of the leadlight case make sure you do not damage the end of the laser, put something soft under it. You need to press from the gold diode housing side so you do not damage the driver. Before you start pressing you need to unscrew the battery cap, remove the black plastic switch and remove the pocket click. This can be done by applying a screw driver as shown on the below photos - Once removed you should be left with the following - Now you will need to trim your boast driver down so that it will fit inside the leadlight case. This is very simple to do, use a knife and scrap the edge away till its small enough to fit. Using the laser-man aixiz diode press, press the diode into the aixiz housing - The black plastic lens that comes with the aixiz housing needs to be modded slightly. Some of the plastic needs to be cut away with a knife to allow for more light to get through. before - after - Now you need to wire the diode to the flexdriver and set the desired power. Disconnect the existing diode and gold housing from the driver that you pressed out the leadlight case. Just cut or rip the diode off the driver, it does not matter. You need to connect the + from the flexdriver to the switch on the leadlight driver. This will power the flexdriver that will power the diode. Connect the + from the flexdriver to this solder joint on the leadlight driver as shown below- Now to connect the - from the flexdriver. This will connect to the metal leadlight case, this is very simple to do. Feed the - through the leadlight driver plastic holder and clip round the bottom, so when the driver get pushed into the case it will connect with the metal housing - With all the above complete you should have something that looks like this - This is now ready to be pushed into the leadlight case. Ignore the extra red wire on the flexdriver in my photo, i cut a trace! First put the leadlight driver into the leadlight case, make sure you stop once the switch is in the correct place for the hole. The flex driver and diode will follow into the case, i put a drop of super glue in the side of the aixiz case before pushing it in. Once all is pushed into the leadlight case, glue the little black plastic switch in place. When inserting batteries, insert the + first so the - is left showing when both batteries are in. Screw the cap on and bingo a working blu-ray pointer.
